Recognising Your Divine Opportunity

Recognising Your Divine Opportunity devotional design
Colossians 4:2–5“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” — Colossians 4:5 (KJV)
Paul asks for prayer that God would open a door for the word. He also urges believers to walk wisely toward those outside the faith and make good use of their time. Opportunity, in this passage, is closely connected with faithful witness. Divine acceleration should deepen our usefulness to God and people. An opportunity is not valuable merely because it promises visibility or income. Consider whether it allows you to serve honestly, fulfil responsibility, and honour Christ. Stay prayerful and attentive. A conversation may become an opening to encourage someone. A small task may help you develop a needed skill. A relationship may grow through consistent kindness. Do not overlook quiet opportunities while waiting for a public platform. At the same time, not every open door is yours to enter. Examine the demands, seek wise counsel, and refuse any invitation that requires dishonesty or neglect of clear duties. Ask God to help you recognise what He places before you today. Make good use of the time you have, and let your words and actions reflect the grace of Jesus.

Confession of Faith

Recognise today’s opportunity to serve. Use your time wisely and honour Christ in every open door.
