Make Room for the Increase

Make Room for the Increase devotional design
Isaiah 54:2–3“Enlarge the place of thy tent.” — Isaiah 54:2 (KJV)
Isaiah's words picture a tent being enlarged, its cords lengthened, and its stakes strengthened. The promise was spoken to Zion as a message of restoration. The image holds an important lesson for us: expansion needs preparation and stability. As we consider divine acceleration, we can ask whether our lives are ready to carry greater responsibility. More activity without stronger foundations can produce strain. A larger vision needs sound character, wise plans, and dependable habits. Make room first in your understanding. Learn what your assignment requires. Strengthen the stakes of integrity, prayer, accountability, and faithful stewardship. If you lead people, develop others instead of carrying every responsibility alone. If you run a business, improve the systems that serve customers well. Preparation is not unbelief. It is one way of expressing responsible expectation. At the same time, avoid reckless spending based only on excitement about increase. God's faithfulness gives us confidence, while wisdom helps us act carefully. Ask the Lord what needs to be strengthened today. The capacity you develop in quiet obedience can help you serve well when new opportunities arrive.

Confession of Faith

Prepare with faith and wisdom. Strengthen the foundations that will support your next season.
