Obedience That Opens the Way

John 2:5–10“Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” — John 2:5 (KJV)
At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out. Mary directed the servants to Jesus, and He told them to fill the waterpots with water. They obeyed before they understood what would happen. When the water was drawn and taken to the governor of the feast, it had become wine.
This account points us to the power of Christ and the importance of responding to His word. Obedience does not earn a miracle; it expresses trust in the One who speaks. In this month of divine acceleration, refuse to let endless explanation become a substitute for faithful action.
Perhaps your next step is simple: reconcile with someone, complete an assignment, speak truthfully, or begin the work you have postponed. Test your decisions by Scripture, and seek wise counsel where needed. Do not mistake pressure or personal ambition for God’s direction.
You do not need to control every outcome before you obey. Bring your willingness to Jesus and take the step that is clear. The Lord who knows the end from the beginning can lead you beyond what you presently understand.
