Freedom from Guilt and Shame

Romans 8:1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.
Guilt reminds you of what you have done, while shame attacks who you believe you are. But through the finished work of Jesus, you have been delivered from both.
Jesus carried your sins, guilt and shame on the cross. His blood did not merely cover your past; it cleansed you and gave you a new identity.
Second Corinthians 5:17 declares that anyone in Christ is a new creation. Therefore, your past mistakes no longer define you. You are now forgiven, justified and accepted in Christ.
Do not continue punishing yourself for what God has forgiven. When condemnation speaks, answer it with the finished work of Jesus. You may remember your past, but it no longer has the power to control your future.
Christ carried your guilt.
Christ bore your shame.
It is finished—TETELESTAI!
