Peace with God

Peace with God devotional design
Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
One of the greatest blessings of the finished work of Christ is that we now have peace with God. Before salvation, sin created separation between man and God. Humanity stood guilty before a holy God, unable to make itself righteous. But through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the price for sin was fully paid and everyone who believes in Him is justified. To be justified means that God has declared you righteous because of your faith in Jesus Christ. You are no longer standing before God as an enemy awaiting judgment. You have been reconciled to Him. This peace is not first about a feeling. It is about your new position before God. There may be moments when your emotions are troubled. Circumstances may be difficult and your mind may be under pressure, but your relationship with God is not built upon changing emotions. Through Christ, the hostility caused by sin has been removed. Jesus became our peace. Ephesians 2:14 says, ‘For he is our peace.’ Because of Christ, you can approach God confidently. You do not need to run away from Him because of condemnation. You can come boldly to the throne of grace, knowing that you have been accepted in the Beloved. Stop relating with God as though He is constantly angry with you. The sacrifice of Jesus satisfied the demands of justice and brought reconciliation. You are forgiven. You are justified. You are reconciled. You have peace with God. Let this truth settle deeply in your heart today. Your Father is not against you. In Christ, you have been brought near. Walk through today with confidence, knowing that you are accepted, loved and at peace with God because of Jesus Christ.

Confession of Faith

I have been justified by faith through Jesus Christ. I have peace with God. I am forgiven, accepted and reconciled to my Father. There is no condemnation over my life. I approach God boldly and confidently because of the finished work of Christ. Jesus is my peace, and I walk today in the consciousness of my acceptance in Him. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
