New Covenant Was Established

Hebrews 8:6But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ brought the Old Covenant to its fulfilment and established a New Covenant between God and humanity. This covenant is not based on human effort, religious performance or repeated sacrifices. It rests entirely upon the finished work of Christ.
Under the Old Covenant, the people approached God through priests and animal sacrifices. Those sacrifices provided temporary covering for sin, but they could not cleanse the conscience or permanently remove sin. Jesus offered Himself once for all, and His sacrifice secured eternal redemption for everyone who believes.
The New Covenant was established in the blood of Jesus. At the Last Supper, He declared, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:20). His blood became the unchanging guarantee that our sins are forgiven and that we have been reconciled to God.
In this covenant, God does not merely give us external commands; He writes His laws upon our hearts and places His Spirit within us. We have received a new heart, a new nature and the ability to walk in fellowship with Him.
You are not trying to earn acceptance from God. In Christ, you have already been accepted. You are not struggling to gain access to His presence; the blood of Jesus has given you bold and permanent access. You are not relating to God as a distant servant, but as His beloved child.
The New Covenant is founded upon better promises. God has committed Himself to forgive your sins, remember them no more, become your God and cause you to know Him personally. Your relationship with Him is therefore secured by Christ’s obedience—not by the uncertainty of your personal performance.
Live today with confidence in the covenant Jesus established. Draw near to God without fear, depend upon the Holy Spirit and enjoy the blessings purchased for you through the blood of Christ. The old order has passed away; a new and living way has been opened.
Confession of Faith
I am a beneficiary of the New Covenant established through the blood of Jesus Christ. My sins are forgiven, and I am reconciled to God. His laws are written upon my heart, and His Spirit lives within me. I have bold access to the Father and enjoy fellowship with Him as His beloved child. I live by faith in the finished work of Christ and walk daily in the blessings of the New Covenant. Hallelujah!
