The Veil Was Torn

Matthew 27:51Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split.
When Jesus declared, “It is finished,” the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom. This veil had separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place, where God’s presence was manifested. Only the high priest could pass beyond it, and he could do so only once a year with sacrificial blood.
The tearing of the veil from top to bottom showed that salvation was God’s work. Humanity did not force its way into God’s presence; God Himself opened the way through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The barrier of sin has been removed. Everyone who believes in Christ now has direct access to the Father. We no longer approach God through fear, religious rituals or human intermediaries. We come through the blood of Jesus with confidence and assurance.
Hebrews 10:19–22 says, “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way… let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.”
The torn veil means you are welcome in God’s presence. You can speak to your Father, receive mercy, obtain grace and enjoy intimate fellowship with Him. You do not have to remain at a distance because Christ has brought you near.
Do not allow guilt, condemnation or feelings of unworthiness to rebuild a barrier that Jesus has already removed. Come boldly—not because you are perfect, but because the blood of Jesus has made the way.
Today, draw near to the Father. Worship Him freely, speak with Him confidently and receive the grace you need. The veil is torn. The way is open. You are welcome in His presence.
Prayer
Father, thank You for opening a new and living way into Your presence through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Deliver me from guilt, fear and condemnation. Help me to approach You with confidence and enjoy daily fellowship with You. By the blood of Jesus, I receive mercy and grace for every need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Confession of Faith
The veil has been torn, and the way into God’s presence is open to me. Through the blood of Jesus, I have direct access to my Father. I refuse guilt, fear and condemnation. I draw near with a sincere heart and full assurance of faith. I am accepted, welcomed and secure in God’s presence. Hallelujah!
