Sin Was Judged at the Cross

Sin Was Judged at the Cross devotional design
2 Corinthians 5:21For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
At the Cross, Jesus did not merely suffer physical pain; He bore the judgment that our sins deserved. The sinless Son of God took our place so that everyone who believes in Him could receive forgiveness and become righteous before God. God did not ignore sin or pretend that it never existed. He judged it fully in the body of Jesus Christ. The punishment was carried out, the price was paid and divine justice was satisfied. This is why Jesus declared, “It is finished!” As a believer, you must not continue living under the fear of condemnation. Christ has redeemed you from sin’s penalty and broken its dominion over your life. When you stumble, do not run away from God in shame. Acknowledge your wrong, receive His cleansing and return confidently to fellowship with Him. Grace is not permission to continue in sin; it is God’s power enabling us to reject sin and live righteously. Because Jesus bore our judgment, we can now walk in freedom, holiness and victory. Today, refuse every voice of accusation. Fix your eyes on the finished work of Christ and declare with faith: My sin was judged at the Cross; therefore, I am forgiven, justified and free in Christ Jesus.

Prayer

Father, thank You for placing the judgment of my sin upon Jesus Christ. Help me to live daily in the freedom, righteousness and victory that His sacrifice purchased for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
