Walking Continually in the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit

Walking Continually in the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit devotional design
Colossians 1:9–11
God does not want us to receive His wisdom only when we face difficult decisions. He desires that wisdom become our daily way of life. Paul prayed that believers would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding so that they might walk worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way. Walking continually in the wisdom of the Holy Spirit means allowing Him to guide our thoughts, words, choices and relationships. His wisdom helps us recognise what pleases God, avoid unnecessary mistakes and respond correctly to every situation. When we depend entirely on our natural understanding, we may be limited by what we see and know. But the Holy Spirit sees what lies ahead and reveals the right path to us. A life governed by divine wisdom will bear good fruit. It will grow in the knowledge of God and receive strength to endure challenges with patience and joy. Therefore, do not consult the Holy Spirit only during emergencies. Fellowship with Him daily through prayer, God’s Word and obedience. As you acknowledge Him continually, He will order your steps and make your life fruitful.

Prayer

Holy Spirit, fill me afresh with divine wisdom and spiritual understanding. Help me to recognise Your voice, follow Your direction and make choices that please God. Let my life bear lasting fruit and reveal Christ to the world, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Confession of Faith

I am filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I walk worthy of the Lord and please Him in everything. The Holy Spirit directs my thoughts, words and decisions. I bear good fruit, increase in the knowledge of God and receive strength for every challenge. I walk continually in divine wisdom, in Jesus’ name.
