Walking Above the Wisdom of This World

Walking Above the Wisdom of This World devotional design
1 Corinthians 2:6–7 (KJV)“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.”
The wisdom of this world is limited to human reasoning, natural observation and temporary circumstances. It may offer useful information, but it cannot reveal everything God has prepared for those who love Him. God's wisdom is higher, eternal and designed to bring His children into glory. As a new creation in Christ, you are not restricted to ordinary human intelligence. You have the mind of Christ, and the Holy Spirit lives within you as your divine counsellor. He reveals solutions that natural reasoning cannot discover and guides you along paths that human calculations may never consider. Walking above worldly wisdom does not mean rejecting knowledge, education or professional counsel. It means refusing to make them your highest authority. Human wisdom must submit to God's Word and the direction of the Holy Spirit. There will be moments when God's instructions appear unreasonable to the natural mind. Forgiving someone who hurt you, giving during scarcity, speaking faith in adversity or stepping into an unfamiliar assignment may seem foolish to the world. However, obedience to divine wisdom produces results that human intelligence cannot manufacture. Do not allow popular opinion, fear or pressure to dictate your decisions. Renew your mind with God's Word, pray in the Spirit and remain sensitive to His inner witness. When you follow divine wisdom, God distinguishes you and causes your life to reveal His glory.

Prayer

Father, thank You for giving me access to divine wisdom through Your Word and the Holy Spirit. Deliver me from dependence on human reasoning and worldly opinions. Open my understanding and guide me in every decision. I receive grace to recognise, trust and obey Your wisdom, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
